Discovery Toys Giant pegboard review

I was happy to try the Giant Pegboard from Discovery Toys this week. It's never easy to find toys that are good for Janelle. Her visual impairment can make it difficult at times to know what to buy. Discovery Toys has a great line of products that fit not only Janelle's needs, but the needs of many other disabled children as well. If you see my previous review on Discovery Toys Peek'a boo block you'll see they have a ton of choices to fit any child's needs.

My two year old is not disabled and she loved this toy. It was easy for her to hold and place the pegs, which is great for her motor development. Janelle was also able to easily place the pegs. I wish I'd had this toy around when she was younger. She's five now, but I could see her having been able to use this at two. The pegs are bright and some are rattles, which is great for visually impaired children. They both found they liked to build towers out of the pegs as well. It was fun to not only help them make the shapes that came with instructional cards, but to watch them use their imaginations as well.

The giant pegboard came exactly how it was discribed and my kids loved it. They play with it a few times a day and yes have even fought over it (A sign of a popular toy in our house). The quality was great. I don't think the kids could break it if they tried.

This would be a great toy for homeschooling mama's, preschool, and kindergarten classrooms. This has so many uses from Math concepts to teaching under over. Kids learn more through play and what a great toy to prove that!
