A good sewing kit is essential in a household our size. Someone is always losing a button or a stuffed animal needs surgery. In face this kit came just in time for me to put on my surgeons gloves and re-head a lamb that a two year old got a hold of. It was touch and go there for a while, but with this kit he survived. 
The kit comes with everything you could need for any emergency sewing need on the go or at home. The nice carrying case has needles, a thimble, scissors, string of multiple colors, etc. This is great if we're out to dinner and someone pops a button. Hey, it happens.
