It's not often a book comes alone for pre-teens that teaches them a lesson. Lady Jenniviere Quill did an excellent job of writing a book that will not only appeal to that age group, but also teach a moral. This is an anti-bullying book and the main character Tiffy learns the hard way it doesn't pay to be mean.
Tiffy is a beauty queen. Her magnificent hair is her pride and joy. Tiffy is also a bully. Fate is about to pay her a visit and teach her that being a bully doesn't pay. Will she change her ways?
The characters are believable and well written. The situations are believable to many pre-teens. It's a hard age group to write for, but humor is used perfectly to keep their attention. I think all preteen girls know a Tiffy and wish she'd get cut down to size too.
This overall is an excellent book I would recommend to anyone who has a pre-teen. It's easy enough for them to read alone and keep their attention. I would suggest you ask them questions afterwards, like do you know someone like Tiffy? Have you ever bullied or been bullied? This book is a great discussion opener!
I was given a copy of this book free to review. All opinions are my own.
