Bacon Flavored Hot Sauce review and giveaway

That's right we are changed our meal plan for three days just to do this review. Our family loves hot sauce. I'm talking we go through a bottle a week! Okay, there are nine of us, but do we have to count the baby? It'd be sort of mean to put hot sauce on his food.
We've tried a lot of hot sauce over the years. I guess you could call us connoisseurs of sorts. What follows is my families three day journey into uncharted territory....BACON FLAVORED HOT SAUCE!

                                                                    Day one
My husband was the first to see the bottle and his face was priceless. A big smile crossed his lips and he said: This is the coolest looking bottle I have ever seen. I almost don't want to open it, but put it up on the shelf. I told him we couldn't give an honest review of something without tasting it. The kids sort of turned up their noses and said: seriously bacon flavored hot sauce?
Dave has a strange taste buds. The man will eat peanut butter and Bologna sandwiches. So when he started cooking breaded shrimp I didn't blink, unaware of what he was about to do next. First he put a few drops of Bacon hot sauce on his finger and tasted it. His nodded and said: This stuff is banging (In other words very, very good). I did sort of think he was playing with fire (no pun intended) when he mixed it with cocktail sauce. I was skeptical, but it actually wasn't bad. Getting the kids to try it this was however, wasn't happening. They all said they'd try it on burgers tomorrow.

Day 2
Lunch

Day 2 is actually day 3. We had a family crisis that slowed us down. We did however get pizza and Sara decided she had to try the Bacon Hot Sauce on the pizza. She sprinkled some on and bravely took a bite. A smile spread across her lips and she nodded her approval. The other kids decided they had to try it too 4 out of five loved it (hey, there's always one who won't). I have to say I also loved it on pizza. It was like taking New York pizza and making it better, which I always thought impossible.

Dinner
Burgers off the grill. Dave put a little Bacon Hot sauce on his burger and called it a flamin bacon burger. He said this was probably the best thing he'd tried it on so far. I tried to get him to put some on his corn on the cob to no avail.

Day 3
Breakfast
Okay, this was the most obvious choice for using Bacon hot sauce...eggs! My oldest loves hot sauce on his scrambled eggs. He said by adding Bacon Hot sauce he'd created a all in one breakfast bacon, eggs, and hot sauce. I'm not sure when Hot sauce became a breakfast food, but I'm okay with it.

Dinner
Left over pizza and wings. This time everyone asked for Bacon hot sauce ! When it came to our three day test all the food was improved by using Bacon hot sauce but the winner by far was on pizza and wings.

To end the review I'd like to say Bacon hot sauce is a well made, tasty product. The flavors are balanced and not too overpowering. This is a must have for any hot sauce lover. I suggest grabbing two bottles one to eat and one to display!

  1. Well since I like hot sauce on my eggs and bacon & eggs are a favorite dish I'd scramble some eggs and top them with this sauce.

  2. Hmmmmm, I think I'd use it on a burger. I don't like super spicy stuff, but some kick is good. And I've never tried hot sauce on eggs, but this one I might try!
