Brooklet wants to wear her monkey pants, but her mother insists she go to bed. She waits til her mother leaves and wears the pants anyway. She's dancing around the room when a jay bird comes and swoops her away into an adventure of a lifetime. She meets cool forest animals and the royal monkey family who think she's returned to rule the kingdom. All Brooklet wants is to go home, will she find a way?
This beautifully written children's fantasy story will capture the imagination of kids and keep them wanting more. It has all the elements of a great children's book, fun, adventure, and magic. Kids will be excited to keep turning the pages to see what will happen next.
The illustrations are adorable and really bring the story to life. From Brooklets girly room to the party in the forest every detail is bright and colorful. The pictures follow the story perfectly from the little jay bird to the three layer cake.
I would recommend this story to kids ages 4-10. It would be easy for older kids to read alone, but younger children will need some help.
