I have never owned or saw a brighter flashlight than this one! I mean it can actually be blinding. This is great for lighting up a large area. I have used it for everything from looking into kids throats to my husband looking into pipes at work. With the three different functions it makes it easy to be a multipurpose tool.
To look in the kids throats I use the regular flashlight. This is also great for looking for things under the cupboard, in the basement, or under beds. It's not to shabby for making shadow puppets either. This will come in handy the next time we lose power. It's bright, almost too bright as most LED flashlights are. It's simple to turn on, just push a button and you have light. 
The next function is the side light. This is great for as my husband does, looking into pipes. It's just as bright, if not brighter than the flashlight function. It is also great for hands free lighting in a dark area and would be awesome to use as a lantern. We can use this out on our patio for playing games or looking for deer. It's a great extra function to have. 
The third function is the red LED lights on the side. As shown in this picture it would be great for emergency situations. No one will have an issue spotting up if we have this lit up.
Overall this is a great quality flashlight than can serve hundreds of purposes. It can fit the needs of a homemaker like myself to a tradesman like my husband.
I would recommend this to everyone.
